  • How do water wells work?

Water wells are the most common method of obtaining groundwater for residential purposes. A water well is a hole in the ground that is held open by a sustainable casing that extends to an aquifer. From there, the water is distributed throughout your property’s plumbing system.

  • Where is the best place to drill a well?

New wells must be installed a minimum “isolation distance” away from certain utilities and buildings. These regulations are in place to reduce contamination.

  • What is the point of a well pump?

A well pump lifts water from your well into your plumbing system. The size of this pump is determined by the size of your well, water levels, and the number of plumbing fixtures on your property.

  • Is well water safe to drink?

The water within private wells isn’t regulated by the EPA, so you should test it on your own before drinking it. Without proper testing, it will be impossible to know whether or not it is safe to drink. The right water conditioning system will drastically improve your water quality.

  • Should I consider installing a water conditioning system?

We recommend installing a water conditioning system to improve your water quality. These systems address acidity, iron, manganese, bacteria, odors, corrosion issues, and more.
